I find it an absolute disgrace that Ferguson has been sacked by Peterboro, has been their most successful manager and that is how he is repaid, I actually think Ferguson would have got them out of the relegation zone in due course. I don't think Ferguson will want to go back to league one, there's probably a championship club sniffing him out right now. He knows how to pick out the best rough diamonds in the non league/lower division football. Lets make an attempt to sign him, purely on his ability to take teams through the divisions.

I have to agree. I don't really like Ferguson as a person, but I would love him as our manager.

It would be great if we could but Peterboro is a long wAY away to get his family and move them. We've got to hope that he does it almost on an impulse really, trying to show PB what they are missing.

To be honest, the man has done very little to make me want him as our manager.
A promotion from League 2, another from League 1 and now rock bottom of the Championship.
All done with a good budget, I might add.

There are much better choices out there.

I agree, he will "probably" end up being a very good manager, but I'd rather he furthered his education elsewhere.

As against whom ? None of the alleged candidates have a better record, especially at this level, one hasn't actually been a manager.

Eh? So we should only be looking for Managers and players who live in Sussex? Kind of part of the deal in being involved in football, isn't it? And it's not that far anyway.

I reckon he'll end up at Reading, They wanted him in the summer and the way they're results have been going this season I can see them going after him again.

Have to say I agree to an extent, he wouldn't be my first choice and all this clammouring to 'sign him up' and forget about all the other candidates is a little OTT imho.

I don't think people are saying forget everyone else but he would have to come into consideration especially as some of the others being 'linked' hardly inspire

so what are the other choices - Cotterill, Puyet, Gannon , Tilson - I'd rather have Ferguson - go and get him.

U really think he will drop down a division? I think we have to be more realistic

Dowie, Cotteril, Tilson, Poyet, Taylor are within our range, but not Ferguson

Realistic???

ALL better choices than Ferguson.

As for dropping down a division - he really hasn't done much to be able to dig his heels in and say "look at me, I'm brilliant".

OK, so the choices being thrown around in the media aren't exactly earth shatteringly brilliant either, but I'd rather have someone with a record of achievemant at more than one club.

got the gig in the first place largely due to the fact he was son of sir alex, decent wedge of money handed to him in order to get peterborough promoted, and now seems to be getting found out at championship level by thinking his side was clearly good enough to stay up and not making any improvements over the summer

nopt sure if he would be the man to get us out of this current mess

As ı udnerstood form the Posh forum he didnt reall have any money to buy this summer and ended up mostly chasing conference players os hradly his fault.

However, I am disturbed about the comments coming out from the club that he was arrogant and didnt listen to reason... not what we want.
