Mrs G managed to run over the lead to the lawn mower. I put the plug back on the truncated flex but the mower doesn't work.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what could be wrong? Or know someone who fixes lawn mowers?

I know it's a long shot but I believe that you can get the answer to anything on NSC.

If you don't have a circuit breaker she had a lucky escape.

the 30mA RCD (iuf youve got one) at your fuse board will be there purely for your personal protection.
the fuse in the plug is there to protect the appliance so that has probably gone. some motors are fitted with an intregal cut out but this is normaly there to protect against overheating.

BTW, youre lucky you still have grass to cut, mine's gone all bald and patchy with this weather

Way out west
Buy a lamb in spring, it can graze on your lawn and keep it tidy throughout the summer, in the autumn when the grass stops growing you don't need to visit the butcher for your Sunday roast.

You missed out the bit about no-strings-attached sex throughout the Summer.

Or is that just me?

Keep the mower. Get a new missus.

Nice reply but no really an option. I was just pleased that it was the mower that was damaged and not her.

Yes, i thought it might have blown the fuse in the plug too. I changed the fuse and it's still not working.
