I had to sit near this moron today - I don't mind passive away fans in the home end, but this arsehole was really asking for a lamping. Calling other nearby fans queers etc. Nice to see the stewards react to something worth reacting to for a change and kicking his arse out.

jam the man i was there in c block just in front of this wanker, they didnt say anythink in the first half, but the second half he was giving it large and even took his PINK shirt off to us.

then he kept saying "its not a matter of life or death its just a football match".

i hope this bloke gets banned for life.

no it was 3 QPR fans, 1 mouthy ****, another boy in blue who standed up in front of a man and a child behind him for a few minutes, and another bloke who just sat there laughing at them.

:salute: to the QPR fans.

Whoever he was, he was pathetic. He had a youngster with him who I guess was his son - he looked completely embarrassed by this man's moronic taunting. Felt sorry for him, to be honest.

Not all of us surely? Like all clubs, we have our fair share of dickbrains and unfortunately today, some of them ended up with tickets near you. Most of us know how to behave when we're in the 'wrong' end. I sat in G block today with my daughter, passive as you could possibly wish!

Have to say that having sussed us out in the first half, (diagonal ball over a slow back four being very effective), I assumed McGhee would send Knight on to use his pace for more of the same. Can't believe you came out and sat back and let us come at you cos it ended up costing you the game.

As for the controversial incidents, if Furlong had to go for kicking Kuipers, Kuipers had to go with him cos he kicked out first.

Bircham should have gone for hitting whoever it was in the face off the ball. I looked at the ref immediately after the incident and he was looking at Bircham ... did he miss it or did he bottle it? I don't think he got his cards out at all today did he?

Linesman by the South Stand was poor ... he flagged your lot offside in the second half when the man was miles onside and failed to flag for so many free kicks that weren't given (for both teams).

I can only assume McGhee and Knight have got real problems with each other ... they've got to either be grown-up about it and sort it out or one of them has to go.

The ref was very soft regarding bookings today. Did he actually book anyone? I can't remember.

Another ref would have booked a few (on both sides).

Do you feel the same when we go away and can't get tickets ?
If the home side can't provide enough tickets to meet demand.I sat in the home area for Reading a couple of seasons ago and would have at grimsby,Gillingham and a few other grounds to get in and watch the match.More reasons why we need our new ground.Wait until Leeds,WHU and Sunderland come down could be even worse then QPR.

I thought he handled the game very well. He let the players just get on with it. Yes, another ref would have flashed 5 or 6 yellows, but would that have been necessary? I applaud the guy for today, and no, I don't think he booked anyone.

Ref ...

thing is at Withdean there aint supposed to be enough seats to go round for home fans so why should away fanms get these seats that supposed to be for home fans ONLY? Tell everyone that couldnt get a ticket there was an away fan occupying a seat they couldve had their bum on and see how they like that!!!!

KEEP AWAY FANS OUT THE HOME END NO EXCUSES!

No, not all of you at all.

Personally, I think QPR have an excellent following. Always bring loads down, vocal support, don't get on the players backs (although it did take Furlong years to be accepted due to his Chelsea links).

The reason you had fans in the home end is because you have more fans than we can offer tickets in the away end. That has happened to us a few times, particularly in the 2nd Division, and sure enough we'd have fans dotted around the home end. I bet the same stories could have been said of us on those occasions.

Hopefully we can get Falmer and then we'll be able to offer you enough room in the away end.

Truth is that although we seem to say different, we rarely seem to be selling out the home end.

QPR filled the away end - otherwise they wouldn't have needed tickets in the home end - yet the crowd was about 6,600. You do the maths, we are NOT selling out the home end. Anyone who says they 'couldn't get a ticket' didn't try properly IMHO.

How did away fans get them then ? Did they apply in writing or go to the club shop to buy them ? How can you tell the difference and why are any spare seats available ? We haven't sold out every game.

i could tell the difference in E block as the QPR fans cheered for them and shut the f*** up when we scored thats how!

KEEP THE HOME END FOR TRUE ALBION FANS ONLY

I meant when buying the tickets not in the ground. If you felt so bad about it why didn't you eject them, sort them out ?

So you think that a club that is currently sending begging letters to it's supporters should find a way of selling fewer tickets? Perhaps the solution is to give more tickets to the away fans? There is a small section to the left of the away end ... why not give that to them as well? That potentially kills two birds with one stone ... you reduce the risk of away fans in the home end and you sell more tickets.

The alternative of course is to only sell to fans currently on your own database but that means you won't attract new people to the Withdean...but I'd still be able to get tickets!

Perhaps the issue is not selling tickets to away fans but the behaviour of those away fans in the home end, the dickbrain in the pink shirt being an example.

Gritt23 I agree. On the whole I thought the ref had a good game.
(I still want to see the third QPR goal again to see if there was an offside).

There were a couple of occasions when a Yellow was warranted.

Oh, and on the subject of being in opponents "ends" I've had to do it many times over the years. Places like Spurs in 1978 come to mind.

I've always tended to keep my mouth shut. On occasions I've spoken to the home fans, i've always had a laugh with them. Not wise to slag them off.
