Motorbike parking Brighton

Right I am on a training course next two days in Brighton and need to park my moped up in central Brighton, close to Gloucester Road. There appear to be three parking sites close by, my questions to the two wheeled good folks of NSC are;

1 How quickly do these spaces fill up ? Am I likely to have any problems finding a space pre 10 the next 2 days ?
2 How safe is this area ? I have an alarm/immobiliser fitted, is a physical lock a useful deterrent or not really necessary.

Thanks in advance

A physical lock is an absolute must. A pro can nick a moped in under thirty seconds if it doesn't have a lock, the only way to steal a moped with a lock is to put it on a lorry.
The big spot right at the bottom of Gloucester street near the king and queen always has places, I dunno if it's close to where you're going but it's always good to have a back-up. MC spots rarely fill up in the winter, I wouldn't be too worried about it, especially before 10am.
