[Music] Most under rated Radiohead song?

This is true, I hang out with too many people who think Radiohead peaked at OK Computer and anything after that isn't worth listening to.

Meanwhile there is a split between my brother (over 40) and me (under 40) where I find The Bends slightly dated in a couple of respects.

There There is, for me, underrated. Yes it gets credit but it's one of the all time great songs let alone a all time Radiohead song. It's number 27 in The Guardian list

Yeah great song.

Builds atmosphere so well and pays off spectacularly.

Great question. I'm fairly populist with my favourite RH songs (Let Down, Idioteque, most of In Rainbows).

I would say Present Tense is possibly the most beautiful song they've ever written (a huge call, I know), so I'd say that. I think it's the best thing they've done since In Rainbows.

Oh, also - Bullet Proof...I Wish I Was - is lovely.

While we're here, Speech Bubbles from Thom'n'Jonny side project The Smile is as beautiful/exquisite as prime RH in my opinion.



Second half of that song is STUNNING.

'In Rainbows' also gets my vote as favourite RH album, and from that 'Reckoner' is their most underrated tune - like soul music interpreted by a white rock band, but sung with genuine soul.

Agree. I have heard this song so many times BUT it still sounds fresh and the soaring guitar work around 4 mins in still gets me.

This is my 15 year olds favourite song/favourite album/favourite band

I’m quite proud of that as it’s not all down to his parents influence as Mrs PWK and I have a lot of bands we listen to, a lot of which he has no interest in. Radiohead get no more airplay in this house than any other band we like.

I’ve said this on here before, IMO (almost) every album released was better than the previous.
I say almost, as it’s up to In Rainbows. KOL didn’t meet my high expectations, although it’s probably due another listen. MSP bounced back as a great album.
