That must be from USA consumers. Target is a supermarket that sells Cherokee branded stuff like Tesco does

That's my point exactly, and the lists I've found are very USA-centric, so typical of the USA to write a list of the 'Worlds' most recognised logos, when what they meant was 'Americas' most recognis(z)ed logos.

I imagine the 1.2 billion people in India would argue the Indian Railways logo is the most recognisable

Yep. Starbucks and Ebay are numbers 3 and 4.

Obviously not a true world wide recognition survey.

Most of Africa, Asia, Middle East wouldnt know Starbucks symbol.

Must be a bit USA-centric in its results

Interestingly with Virgin, this is the old logo which used to be used for Virgin Records and Virgin Atlantic.
