The John West salmon advert with the fisherman fighting the bear in the Canadian wilds was just classic.

Ocean Finance where they have the people jumping over hurdles while in their suits etc. The old man cant even jump over one so he runs between two..they must have really been scraping the old actor barrel at the auditions:

'we need you to hurdle a two foot obstacle..you cant? oh well have the job anyway'


My favourite? The clarkes shoes one where the little kid tries to get the speedometre on his shoes to go as high as he can by running on the spot.

I'm with the people who say car adverts, they all piss me off.

I also hate the ones where everyone's obviously American and they've overdubbed English voices (often badly)

And finally, those cosmetic adverts that use pseudo-science mumbo-jumbo to try to sell over-priced shit.

Another pet hate is the one where the guy in the library has just unlocked Mrs. Percival's pension, only that'll leave her with f*** all to live on when she retires.

The Renault ad is quite good "Shakin' that ass, shakin' that ass"...

All of the recent John Smiths ads with Peter Kaye in are good. Especially the one where he want's to put his mum (55) in an old peoples home so he can put a snooker table in her room!!

I dislike that advert for obvious reasons.

I did like the top bombing one though.

I also like the Canadian fighting the bear.

I hate all those adverts for cosmetics with obviously made up pseudo-scientific names. But the worst one was for that shampoo Herbal essences in the courtroom - urge to herbal my arse. They can't even say it properly.

That one drives me nuts Pav! The only ad which provokes a channel change without fail.

The most irritating adverts to me are the ones that come up up cable/sattelite TV, namely, the ones that offer to make all your debts into 'One affordable payment'. What they are selling is a second mortgague (these offers are only available to home owners) and whilst they do reduce monthly payments the just spread the cost of a long peruiod at userous rates of interest. Only the dumb and the desparate apply and they get ripped off IMHO.

The other ones are the 'ambulance chasing' injury lawyers who, in many cases, rob their clients blind.

Top Advert

Top advert has to be the carlsberg one, where blokey licks the whole house clean apart from the missus,

all the transnational airlines adverts p*ss me off,

that's right just cater for the 0.5% of the population whilst the rest of us, have to travel in conditions that are worst then the south central trains old stock.

Most of the northern beers one annoy me. cos the stuff is just cr*p, and if it was any good, they wouldn't have to advertise it.

Back onto cars adverts, they all now focus on how safe they are mmmmm well they still seem to be causing 70,000 child injuries and deaths each year.

how about some on sensible un-macho driving, where the male/female driver would obviouly pick up some cool totty as a result.

Ultimately, the insurance ones really get me with the Pension ones...
