Good luck with that, English history in 2 weeks no chance so focus on the aspects you might have some chance on:
The Vikings and their raids against the Brits, eg Alfred the Great which really lead to the creation of England.

OP. Probably i'd add to the comments of those saying, best get off NSC and read as much of the course text as you can get through.

If it's on the course, probably it's there for a reason

Failing that. Maybe wiki Alfred the Great?

1. The changes to society that are still relevant today as a result of 1066 the one battle in English history that changed everything
2. Magna Carter the first time that the people of this nation attempted to ascertain rights
3. The industrial revolution changed everything from a small island in the North Sea to a global powerhouse
4. The two World wars the first purely for the pointless numbers of deaths and the second as it was the only just war and changed everything back to a small island in the North Sea.
5. The internet a gift to the world from Tim Barnards Lee which is still in its infancy conceived to be a force for good which might prove to be the catalysis for the end of our very existence

As an academic, I take the view that anyone who uses Wikipedia as their main sauce is a lazy timewaster.
