Same here - think he'd be the perfect replacement, always gets his teams to play an intelligent passing game.
At the opposite end of that scale is that dinosaur Allardyce - it's almost laughable to think he was favourite for the England job just a few years ago.
As grating and blinkered as Fergie and Adkins are, Big Sam has to get my vote.

Have always detested Fergie but can't deny that his record is superb. Then there is Warnock for being a gobby s***e but his stock is now falling rapidly.
Until recently Adkins was a very obvious target but I think he is gradually being found out and could be in for a torrid time even if Saints make promotion.
But now the most disliked manager has to be Allardyce. Not only for his style of 'football' (is that what you call an 'oxymoron'?) but also his dinosaur attitude. It would please me greatly to see Allardyce with serious egg on his face if the Hammers blow their chance of promotion.
There is much to admire about Martinez and Rodgers, neither of whom seek the headlines and do a steady job on limited resources.

I voted for fat Sam, he wasn't even on my radar until he took over at Wet Spam. Alright I never ever liked his style of playing, but I never realised before, what a mouthy whining walrus he is. This time last year Adkins would win this poll hands down. But I definitely read more and more people disliking Alladyce these days.
