Apparently Gerrard is getting fed up at Liverpool, perhaps we should sign him too! So another premiership player becomes available and we instantly think that a) he wants to join a club at the arse end of league one and b) we can afford his wages without upsetting the rest of the squad.

This must be NSC's favourite past time.

Great puns guys! However he played the whole last season at Ipswich Town, so he would only be dropping down 1 league. I honestly think that players would feel privelaged to work with Gus and for that reason alone we will be able to punch above our weight. Most young footballers would have grown up watching Gus play and admiring his skill and atitude. Obviously I understand that there's not really any chance of Volz signing for us, however I do think that Gus, Brighton as a city andalso Falmer make us a much more attractive proposition than a lot of NSCers think. Obviously wages will hold us back a little but I honestly think that as a club we are more enticing than most league one clubs and a load of Championship clubs too.
