Moritz Volz - would he come to Albion?

Yes, Moritz Volz the right back formerly of Fulham is currently a free agent. He was released by Fulham in the summer after spending most of the 2008/2009 season on loan at Ipswich. He has been training with Shalke 04 but they have not offered him a contract...

Could Gus Poyet tempt him to the Withdean? He's only 27 and has been without a club for 6 months so would he be willing to listen to offers from League 1? Obviously having lived in London for the last 10 years the proximity of Brighton would work in our favour. I know we have just signed Calderon but what a great signing Mortiz Volz would be

I'm sure I read that Calderon can play central midfield so he wouldn't need to be replaced. You could have Calderon AND Voltz in the same starting line up.

when we played Fulham in a pre season friendly there was a load of german students and fans who came down to see that game and chatting to some of them, it was Voltz they had come to see.

With the amount of foreign students and residents in the area, I think its a shame we havent signed a Polish player.....you would get people come along to to watch him and hopefully encourage more people to keep going
