Yes, Moritz Volz the right back formerly of Fulham is currently a free agent. He was released by Fulham in the summer after spending most of the 2008/2009 season on loan at Ipswich. He has been training with Shalke 04 but they have not offered him a contract...

Could Gus Poyet tempt him to the Withdean? He's only 27 and has been without a club for 6 months so would he be willing to listen to offers from League 1? Obviously having lived in London for the last 10 years the proximity of Brighton would work in our favour. I know we have just signed Calderon but what a great signing Mortiz Volz would be

Not to mention that "220 Volz" is pretty flair....

Volz attained cult-figure status with Fulham fans, in part due to his commitment and passion and to his community involvement[2], but also because it was revealed that he rides his bicycle to home games. His terrace nicknames include '220 Volz', 'The Electrician', 'Mr Resistor' and 'The Lightbulb', although by far the most common with Fulham fans is the rather simple 'Volzy'. He is also nicknamed 'The Hoff' due to German stereotype he often refers to on his website. For the match against Aston Villa on Saturday 21 October 2006, he had 'The Hoff's name written on his boots for good luck, and promptly scored his first goal in three years.

I recommend listening to his own personal theme tune available on his website: Volzy.com

As long as he didnt come into the team and start thinking he is billy big bollox I would be happy, maybe Calderon could teach him how they defend in Spain, like how to turn James Milner on your own six yard box!

when we played Fulham in a pre season friendly there was a load of german students and fans who came down to see that game and chatting to some of them, it was Voltz they had come to see.

With the amount of foreign students and residents in the area, I think its a shame we havent signed a Polish player.....you would get people come along to to watch him and hopefully encourage more people to keep going

It wont happen it would just be a waste of wages when we have gaping gaps in other areas of the team

Adding that sort of quality would certainly improve our OHM form...
