I find this bloody insulting!

The Brighton Aftermath
Posted at 19:49 on 14 Nov 2004

What can you say about the Brighton result? F*ck, b*llocks, sh*t etc etc. I think those were my thoughts come the final whistle. Once again we’d created enough chances to win two games, but lost to another load of garbage. Seriously I despair at this club and what it’s become.

Credit to Brighton, they may have a crap set of players but atleast they’re a spirited bunch of crap. We couldn't blame them for our inability to score in a brothel. It’s not their fault our forward line are overpaid pre-madonnas who can't hit a cows backside with a banjo. It’s not their fault Pardew is a tactical muppet. It’s not even their fault we have Bobby Zamora.

“We've had 17 efforts on goal but only three on target, perhaps that's why we haven't won it; they only had one real chance, so for them to win makes this a disappointing result for us”. The customary state the obvious comment from Mr Pardew. How observant is he!

The scorer for Brighton (Guy Butters) couldn’t get in Hull City’s first team when they were in the Conference. That’s how crap we are.

Start to fear next week like the plague. Current performances will certainly insure the Scum take the points. I predict a game like this......we’ll miss a few, they’ll hit us on the break and score following slack marking from an Upton Park statue. Even old man Teddy can't save us.

That must be going back a bit!

I'm not sure about them creating enough chances to win two games - Kuipers only had to make one or two real saves that I can recall, which is the same amount of clear chances we had.

wherever the money is
:lolol:

Oh how fickle some fans can be. they have not lost any of their last 10 at home and everyone gets a bad result. In comparison most would say we are a crap team compared to them in that they have spent a fortune on players where we have to rely on youth with the odd old geezer.

What they do not think about is that money does not buy you sucess and neither does selling all your stars.. Manure did not start to be succesful by spending a fortune. they did it by bringing through their youngsters and keeping hold of them.
Crewe would probably be languishing in the conference if it was not for their youngsters and if they had not sold them they would probably be in a better position than they currently are.

I think the hammers should learn a lesson here and try and keep hold of the quality youngsters they bring through.
they would have at least 5 of their youngsters playing in the full england squad now if they had held onto them.
Carrick, Cole, Defoe, Ferdinand, Lampard, James to name but a few

Oi! I was born up that way. Mind you, I had the good sense to move down here at the age of 3 and support Brighton.

You've got to take stuff like that in perspective. Coming from where they've been I can understand that attitude. They're used to seeing top Premership players so their definition of "crap" is different to ours. They just need to come to terms with the fact that they're not that much better than us anymore.

No matter what the name of your club is-you're only as good as the division you currently find yourselves in. The 'Appy 'Ammers may think we're a load of garbage but we still managed to come away with the three points.:lolol: :lolol:

One nil to the gay garbage...one nil etc.

Is their attitude not identical to ours when we played Crewe last week though and the "McGhee Out" brigade were doing cartwheels for the 48 hours after the match?:glare:

But you have to say "pre-Madonnas" is quite a good image - is that a reference to where she was so rubbish that she had to strip for a living? ??? :jester: :drink:

Like Glen Johnson for example.

It's one thing to say hang on to them, it's another to do so. We couldn't hang on to Gareth Barry and we're not going to hang on to Dan Harding. It's going to be very difficult for any team outside the Premiership to hold on to its promising youngsters: that's going to inevitable when a player in, say, Chelsea's third team is going to earn more than a first team player in the Championship.

The Manure example wasn't a good one as they were top of the Prem - of course, they'd be able to hold on to their star youngsters, the rest of us have to hope that the transfer fees are decent enough.,

It's not that bad a way to survive though - Crewe have done OK on it.
