Left of field Candidates
Having trawled through the obvious choices and not found the right man, Dick Knight now needs to go for a left of field choice and pick a surprise candidate. To go for a known named manager now, will always look like sloppy seconds.
I predict a few foreign names to be bandied about followed by us pinching a promising number two from somewhere. One candidate would be Ian Culverhouse at Colchester. A quiet but cultured footballer who would probably require a sergeant major style number two.
