Monday Blues or just generally worried?

It seems as if most people on this board today are complaining about the team.

With us only playing a couple of games, is this the case of Monday blues, or are you generally worried about this season.

I am quite optomistic about this season because we have a good manager, great team spirit and a new style of play (which seems to have only worked against the better team of QPR - but once we know how to get it right, we will do better against all teams).

We need time to settle. It is only mid September - we have until April.

I think we will do well this season. But (someone mentioned this earlier on and I agree) do we really want to go up to division one next season anyway? We need time, money and a stadium before we think about challenging along the likes of Ipswich and co. I can just imagine us doing what so many teams have done before. We go up, spend all our money on a stadium, and then decrease down the leagues.

So, anyone else optomistic or am I on NSC chat with a bunch of worried fans?

You can keep your new sytle of play if it is, treat the ball like a hot potato and hoof it up by passing the midfield to a 5 ft 4 striker.

This is the worst football we have played for 4 years. The Swindon game was dire just dire.

The sides crafted by Adams in particluar was pass and move, on the deck. Beautiful football to watch. This football on offer at the moment is just awful.

This new style of play, what is it exactley? Can you tell SC and the boys as they don't seem to know what it is either.

its a nice monday today, weather is fantastic and will continue all week, Sussex should be crowned CHAMPIONS on the first or second days play...we should also win tomorrow night. Got a feeling this is gonna be a good week

Now I haven't watched all the games, but imho, we are playing a passing game (or trying to).

We played a passing game under Adams? Excuse me but are we watching the same team? Adams was nutorious (splg?) as a hoofing manager.

I am getting over flu. I also am doing a tedious job at the moment.

I'd like to think it was Monday morning blues, but i have my doubts.

Forest Green Rovers, think alot more people will have heard of them by the time we've played them.

The last 2 games have been absoluetly shocking.

Its depressing at the moment because we're not even creating many chances.

At least we have got a comparably easy game against Cheaterfield to hopefully get back on track.

Play up you seagulls...

At the moment I am not really worried about the results we are getting but the fact that within weeks now we shall know the result of the public inquiry.

It resumes in a few weeks just to sort out the final piece and then off to John Prescott.

We should know the result in November.

This will have a major impact on the team. A positive outcome will boost them no end - I dread to think about a negative outcome.........

tut tut tut.
This just proves that women and football dont mix.
If you had bothered to watch the championship Div 3 team then you will know what GG is on about. Although I was lucky enough to not go to the Swindon game everyone is saying how disjointed we look. I think the QPR game is the only time we have looked ok. However, not too worried, I think we have the manager to get things right. Not many teams play well for 46 games.

Will you please clarify why?

I have a different opinion from you. That is not a reason why you should be offensive and say why women and football don't mix. I am one lady - I don't think the others will be 2 glad to hear you say that.

Your just a generalising, sexist, :censored:

Feel better now!

I,m optimistic at present as it is early days but we have to improve otherwise we will be struggling. I was disappointed after the Colchester match and I,m glad the players felt the same way afterwards as it was dire. If we don,t beat Chesterfield then I,ll start to worry!!!

We are all out of sorts at the moment, the midfield is a shambles and our stikers seem to have gone awol.

Its all well and good saying its early days but before we know it itll be a month later and a 1/4 of the season gone. If we are not there or therabouts by mid October then its unlikely well do anyting this season.

And are seriously asking whether we want 1st div footy??? We didnt spend a fortune last time so we all know that we wont again, and sorry but all I have seen is shit footy this season so visits to nice grounds and teams with decent players are definately what we should all be hoping for next season.

Did you go to the Oldham game Gary Nelson?

We played a better standard there than the QPR game IMO

Or doesn't my opinion count either because I'm female?

And shut up Jonnyboy before you even think it :lolol: :lolol:
