NSC is billed as public message board, who's 'leader' has 'NSC welcomes everyone' as their signature, yet threads that don't conform to what's the mods (a select group of eight people out of a membership of nearly 4,000) deem as sensible conversation are dismissed as 'childish ramblings'.

This ideal bandied about that NSC is like a big, virtual pub will all sections of society happily chatting away is a load of old POPPYCOCK. More a case of children should be seen but not heard while the 'adults' talk about grown-up stuff.

All seems a bit 'LDC in secret rooms making decisions against the populus' to me.

The odd shitty thread is fine.

But starting 4 or 5 or whatever it was is taking the piss. When they take up most of the top spots on the board then other, possibly more meaningful stuff, gets pushed off the first page. And once stuff sinks down there it often does not see the light of day again.

No. As I've said - people are calling people ****s all the time. Generally in a light-hearted manner like mine, sometimes not.

But doing so does not fill up page 1 of the board with mindless crap. Not unless you start 4 or 5 threads saying "Bozza is a ****" anyway. In which case I think you can guess what will happen next.

It's not, of course. The board is full of childish nonsense - it's part of the 'charm' of NSC.

I honestly can't remember the last time I filed something in Childish Ramblings - it has to be months now.

And you may notice I think I left one of Tommy Boy's polls because one was fine. 5, 6 etc all in a short period of time is not.

Also, I didn't particularly read your 'current ****' post as light-hearted. The way you've responded so far implies that your mood is far from light.

Isn't this what this board is turning in to? people are starting to create a cross between the board and real life, and one day as dwane said it will turn in to board banter one day, and someone like me and kev being happy slapped.
