Rotherham United boss Alan Knill has handed a trial to former Nottingham Forest man Eugen Bopp.
The German midfielder comes to the League One club after being released by Forest at the end of last season.
The 22-year-old had a trial with Championship side Ipswich Town earlier this month before taking up the chance of a run-out with The Millers.
He may feature for the South Yorkshire outfit when they host last season's Scottish FA Cup finalists Gretna in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
Bopp was one of four Ipswich trialists that failed to impress Portman Road boss Jim Magilton this pre-season.
The former Northern Ireland international has also decided not to pursue any more interest in fellow trialists Alexis Bertin, Mehdi Meniri and Indridi Sigurdsson.
