Albion U21s are back in action tomorrow (Tuesday) when they face everybody's favourite franchise club MK Dons in the round of 32 in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy (the EFL Trophy, previously known as the Papa John's Trophy).

This is only the third occasion that the Albion U-21s have reached the knockout stage of the competition (they lost at this stage to Newport County in 2019-20 and reached the round of 16 in 2016-17 when they lost at Coventry City).

Have we got any U21s left? Most seem to be in the first team squad
Hope we put out our strongest team - would be really good to go as far as possible in this competition. These lads are mostly teenagers - they should have enough energy to play tonight and sit on the bench tomorrow - and if they are called upon to play a few minutes at the end, they'll be running on adrenalin!

I’m setting off now. Anyone else coming to this? Or just me?

Wear several layers, bloody cold and damp here.

Good to see 1st-year scholar Ronnie Gorman have another involvement on the bench after making his U-21 debut against Fulham on Friday:-

Looks like MK Dons are playing their U21s too - no players who started their last league match.

Edit: MK Dons commentators saying 7 of the MK Dons side are first teamers, so that's probably right - none of them played in the last match though (unless the Albion website has got the team wrong).

We're playing MK Dons AND Walsall?

Did MK Dons forget to sell tickets for this or something? The stadium is pretty much empty
