And FDM must take some blame for the goal.

I've always been supportive of Kuipers but he was definitely at fault for the goal-if you're not going to go up for the cross, stay on your line. He was running around flat footed then flapping about blaming others when the ball went in the net.

Kuipers 6 Must accept blame for the goal as he chased around the 6 yd box like a madman. The 6 yd box is the keepers territory and he should claim the crosses etc in it.
E Abd 4 Good start to the game until that stupid tackle.
Elphick 7 Won a lot of balls but lucky to not give away a penalty.
Wright 6 Didgy to start got better as game wore on.
Bennett 7 Fitted in well at full back although losta few tackles as would be expected.
Dicker 9 MOM covered every blade of grass and was our midfield engine room.
Croft 7 Complimented Dicker well hada good opportunioty witha header early on.
Davies 6 Has good moments but not enough of them.
Dickenson 7 Won more balls in the air than he has done all season. Goalscoring will come.
Forster 7 Tried hard without success kept running for 90 minutes.

Subs;

Thornhill 5 Fail to see what he offers at the moment.
Murray 7 Looked keen and sharp but not on long enough to make an impression.

Didnt rate Tunnicliffe then :lolol:

Bennet looked a better option at right back than Whing, Virgo or El ABd so far this season.
Dicker MOM
Neither Thornhill nor Dickinson impressed.
FDM at fault for the goal. Got to take responsibility for the 6 yard box.
Overall they have really come on as team. Most work very hard and sometimes they pass the ball quite neatly.

Kuipers - 6. - Didn't really have much to do.

El-Abd - 4. Challenge rash, but looked harsh red.... probably a yellow.
Tunnicliffe - 7. Thought he played well, constantly covering for his colleagues inefficiencies.
Elphick - 5. Very poor. Ball goes all over the place when he kicks it, loses his player when faced with any sort of movement.... incredibly average. For me has gone downhill.
Wright - 6. Got better as the game went on.

Dicker - 8. MoM. Just class
Crofts - 7. I like Crofts, works hard.
Bennett - 7. Covered rightback well
Davies - 6. Ok

Dickinson. 7. The crowd have found a new scapegoat, tho wrongly IMO, works hard, closes down in the right areas. No decent service.
Forster. 7. Quiet by his high standards, but workrate was good.

Thornhill. 5. Pointless. Not really sure his heart is in it or whether he has the strength for this division.
Murray. 6. Worked hard when he came on...

I think that's the key point. No problem with him coming out for the ball but you must get something on it. He was stranded for the goal - deflection or not.

Exactly, having come for and missed the ball you can't absolve him of blame because the shot that ended up in the net was deflected. The most annoying thing to me though was the fact that it should never have been a corner as the linesman missed a blatant offside in the build up to the corner because he wasn't up with play.

Kuipers 5 - not a lot to do. At fault for the goal.

El-Bad 3 - Absolute DEFINITE red card - anyone who thinks otherwise should watch the replay. SHOCKING challenge.
Tunnicliffe 7 - Looks like our best centre half at the moment and a consistent performer
Elphick 7 - didn't particularly notice him, which I guess is a decent sign given recent defensive lapses.
Wright 6 - all over the place in the first half and his lack of pace looks a concern. Improved slightly in the 2nd half.

Bennett 7 - poor bloke had to fulfill a role that he probably did not want to, but did the job admirably.
Crofts 6 - same performance as always from him. Works hard, but not exactly inspiring, and would he get in the midfield of any of top ten?
Dicker 8 - Is our best centre midfielder by a country mile. Quality as always.
Davies 6 - flattered to deceive.

Dickinson 1 - Truly truly AWFUL footballer. Is 6ft 6in and won about 2 headers all match. Slow, cumbersome, lazy as hell, doesn't score goals. Not fit to lace Murray's boots. I have literally no idea what attributes he supposedly possesses. Oh yeah, he "puts himself about a bit" - okay, then 10.
Forster 7 - had to play up front on his own because of the lazy sh*t alongside him. Never plays badly.

Thornhill 6 - not enough time to make an impact and should have come on for Crofts. Touches of quality.
Murray 7 - did more of worth in 10 minutes than Dickinson did in 90 minutes. PLEASE put him back in for the next game.

You still amaze me BG. So you honestly think that Elphick played better than Davies and Wright?

Dickinson

You prats that marked Dickinson low were either not at the game or have an inbuilt hate campaign against him. On balance he rated 6.5 in my opinion. Get off his back.

Every player had an ok game. Yes mistakes were made, but then mistakes are made by all players. The problem is not that the players aren't playing ok, it is just that we lack a player to take the game by the scruff of the neck and transform it. Fozzie can do it some days, but he is getting on and looked tired after the hour mark (not a criticism before anyone jumps down my throat). We lack a leader on the pitch and won't do anything until we find one.

Agree with you here although I didn't get a good look at the red card incident and havent seen to reply. Thought he was playing quite well up until then so would give him a 6, but agree with your other marks/comments.

BTW what about that storming run from Tunnicliffe in the second half?!?!

Yes, for a minute, the clock went back 30 years to Lawrenson vs Wolves in the FA Cup, needed to finish with a goal though...

I agree, although i felt murray did this when he came on. chased everything down and looked dangerous. with him and dicker on the pitch i think we can finally take control of a game. provided we have 11 men.

Dicker is fine, but he is not a leader. And Murray certainly is not a leader. Cullip was a leader; Horton was a leader; Wilson was a leader. Even Minton was more of a leader than anyone we have at the moment. That is, for me, the critical difference. We have a good group of pros who seem to be playing well, but we lack someone who can up the tempo, or slow it down, and get everyone playing the way they should be.
