Noticed Alexis is in quite a few pundits team of the season.

If the day should ever come that Mitoma leaves us, the highlight reel made for him will be unreal. A 10 minute long collection of sublime first touches, defenders being left on their arse and a string of goal of the season contenders. The guy is extraordinarily technically gifted.

Ally Mac was a very different type of player. Although he prefered playing as a 10 his best position by a country mile was a little deeper where he could be the heartbeat of the side. An equally magnificent player who you just had to look a little harder to see what he brought to the team.

Love them both.

Towards the end of Potter's final season we played 3421 with Bissouma and Caicedo as the defensive midfielders and Ally Mac and Gross as the 10s. March and Trossard as the wing backs. Holy shit!

As someone who watches Macca every game compared to 50% of Mitoma’s there is no comparison, Mitoma can be brilliant but he doesn’t have the variety to his game. Macca scores, passes, tackles, lead’s etc.
They have different functions but Macca has been the Reds best player for the last couple of seasons, no question.
