Yeah, I thought the same when we went tbh. People were quite vocally into it but nothing to really detract from what was going on and probably improved the experience for the kids.
Had it been like this, however...

Half of me thinks “they are kids having fun at an event”
The other half thinks “what a bunch of easily manipulated, over excited morons”
As long as they didn’t hurt anyone and everyone knew what to expect, doesn’t seem to be any harm in it. Not like they’re doing it at the latest Bill Nighy film.
Probably a little scary for the younger kids though.
I dunno. Not my idea of a nice time. And it’s not aimed at me, so who cares.
