Doesn't really make any difference to City though does it? They seem to have infinite money.

There is no doubting he is quality.

overated or overpriced? not overated, i'd say he's top midlfielder, one of the best in the country right now that any team would want. defo overpriced, but then arent they all?

He flourished at Villa Park. He has spent a good amount of his time on the bench since leaving Villa and has pretty much wasted away his potential. But hes on whatever 100k+ a week like everyone else there. He would still be a very top player if he was with Villa. I do agree the fee was well past his worth, but hey City wanted to pay it. And really the valuation of Ireland at 8 mil seems much based on form...he has been absolutly DIRE for us. Ah well, if Jimmy wants to piss away his talent to sit on the bench then so be it. Was so gratifying to beat them 1-0 at hom the other night. Though they did thump us 4-0...oops.
