"My life's in pieces"
Farewell!

Argus Link

Meanwhile, Albion's forward misfit Maheta Molango, currently on a year-long loan with Lincoln, is returning to Spain to join UB Conquense for the rest of the season with a view to signing for the third-tier club next term.

Molango, a former Atletico Madrid reserve, has scored one goal in 14 appearances for Lincoln and has not played for them since mid-November

"Albion could have two new forwards in, one from the British Isles, the other from eastern Europe, for the visit to Sheffield United a week tomorrow but, for the time being, McGhee has to make do with what he has got. "

I am sure i read it was two forwards in time for Leeds. Next it will be two forwards in time for our opening fixture against Carlisle next season :jester:

He was given a chance.

To be fair, he was the best of a bad bunch (although Kerekes has done well since and I cannot remember the other trialists name), he looked good in friendlies where it is not really a very physical game.

Every time I saw him, whether it was against Hastings or a Championship side, he just looked too lightweight and unable to stay onside.

He certainly won't make it in a physical league two side.

Stick to your law books Maheta.

He had some talent, he was quickish and had a very good shot on him, particularly remember a very good strike against Cambridge. But he lacked the physique and touch to apply those strengths, and crucially perhaps, the attitude and willingness to work on his weaknesses, hence he made no progress and remained too lightweight.

Shame, but that's football.

I'm still looking for anyone apart from Easy10 to own up to chanting "sign him up, sign him up" when he got that brace against Crawley :D

McGhee got some flak on here from not signing Kerekes, imagine the crap he would have got if he hadn't signed the one big success of our 2004 pre-season campaign.

Cheerio Mahe

The central defender who we had on trial from Dundee is, I think with Gillingham and I am sure that he is in the Trinidad and Tobago set up. Cant remember his name had dreadlocks and played at Lewes in the same game as Turienzo.

Not that any blame can be laid at McGhee's door, but you do wonder what Kerekes could have done. He had a good record in the admittedly poor Hungarian league.

I had high hopes for Molango, but it wasn't to be. Not a bad footballer, but didnt have the strength to match his pace or shot, and didnt give his all.

Brett Sancho if memory serves me.

Brent Sancho.

Although we appear to be about to sign a Gills reject.

That was him and you are right. If he is in the T & T side what have England got to fear.

The only one they have who could get in our team poor as it may be is Dwight Yorke if he wants 3 months with his son.

Ibrahim Tankary!

McGhee's record of foreign strikers is not good!

I wonder where Pinamonte is these days.

In the Italian League 1, scoring goals as well last time I saw. A dreadful player.

Sancho? We got that one right with McShane coming along.

I honestly do believe that this story about Steve Torpey is a wind up.

If MM signs him I dont think even LI or Yorkie will be able to stand up for him as his defence.
