Supporters in general are not as nice nowadays as they were in the 70s and 80s , i fondly remember being showered with thrupenny bits and the odd 2 bob when travelling to certain grounds by home fans eager to show their appreciation that we came to visit their ground .

The only time I have been hit hard on the head by a coin was in the Chicken Run FA Cup QF v.......Norwich

All this complaining about some of our fans clapping their attendance but nothing about them giving our ladies' team a great round of applause as they passed the south stand with their cup.

If any Albion player's performance is genuinely affected by the location of the visiting team's supporters, then a career in professional football is not for him.

The extent to which fans everywhere agonise over this issue is laughable. Perhaps imagining that they really do exert influence over events on the pitch derives from a sadly misplaced sense of entitlement and a desperate need for some kind of recognition. (cf demanding that the players and manager clap supporters post-match)

We're not where we are in the table because of all those nasty visiting fans and where they sit. Or stand. It's rather more to do with too many of our players being not very good.
