Has retired according to the Telegraph today. I thought he wasn't far short of retiring age while at Brighton!

Amongst the other ex players moving out of the conference are Phil Hadland joining Leek and Martin Thomas joining Eastleigh whilst Mark Cartwright finds himself without a club.

A few famous names down there now as well, Warren Barton's signed for Dagenham & Reds and Des Hamilton's now without a club. Steve Jagielka, who I thought was in the same England u-21 side as Bobby has signed for Accrington Stanley.

Especially nice to see Andy Rammell signed by Forest Green and immediately sold on to Nuneaton Griff (whoever they are).

I think you might be getting your Jagielkas confused (we've all done it).

Wasn't it Phil J who was in the Under-21s - plays for Sheff Utd

Steve is older brother, ex-Shrewsbury.

Sounds about right thinking about it. The paper says he's signed from Sheff Utd so I think maybe they've got it wrong.

Rammell's knee is shot to pieces, so after two training sessions he realised he wouldn't be able to play at Conference level.

Re the Jagielkas:

Phil is a Sheffield United player, and a very promising full back at that. His older brother Steve played for Shrewsbury until last year, when little Phil managed to get him a trial with Neil Warnock at the Blades, in a touching display of brotherly love.

Sheffield United then signed Steve on a short term deal I think, but have now released him. So technically it's correct to say he came from Sheff Utd.

Phil is still at Bramall Lane, and often linked to a number of bigger clubs.

Any one here remember the classic Mickey Bennet incident at Swansea on a Friday night when that "Bird" came out onto the pitch swinging her handbag?:lolol:

Marvellous scenes:clap2:

Fantastic! I went down to the corner of the terrace to give whoever they had nicked a bit of grief. They were dragging this 'woman' along who had a short skirt on, knee length boots and a Tesco carrier bag in her hand. One of the funniest things I've seen at a football match!

Of the team that played at Gillingham apart from Kerry Mayo and Richie Barker who is still playing league football.

Kevin Nicholls.

Shows how poor we really were.
