I thought that perhaps Crawley would have gone for him when they appointed Edinburgh. Good luck to him I hope to see him back in charge of League club at some point.

Justin Edinburgh is manager of Gillingham, (as l'm sure you know), Mark Yates is at Crawley, but I concur with your sentiments re Micky, good luck, and hope to see you managing in the Football League again in the future.

Still wondering why he left Port Vale for a 'lesser' club, as he wasn't sacked.
He seemed to be putting something together at Port Vale.

My perception is that MA was broken mentally by the time he came to us second time around. He might have got a little bit of his swagger back at Port Vale but I'd bet he never went back to being the man he was with us first time around.
Obviously football is his career/profession and it may suit him being in a much less pressurised job and living in a very relaxed environment like Ireland.
