Now if campbell was not to make the squad due not being able to locate his mobile I can think of a lot worse players to take his place.

I concur. I also think his successful partnership with King is a hint towards the near future for England; King and Terry are probably the best pairing we currently have.

this bloke is a top player with a very bright future...

I would take him over Campbell and Brown definately. I think Woodgate is our best all round defender and Dawson isn't far behind him. If I had to pick 5 centre halfs (all fit) I would pick Terry, Ferdinand, King, Woodgate and Dawson. I would take Carrahger as reserve RB.

woodgate is a very unrealistic selection tho...

shame really such a talent but never ever gonna be fit enuf to rely on...

Too early for Dawson IMO, rather take Ledley in pace of Campbell who should not go at all....OK Campbell has played well when in and England shirt but his form this year had been terrible and he should simply not go.
