Is that the league whose 7th placed team (now 10th I think), absolutely destroyed the English Champions at home and away a few weeks ago?

I did say 'very few genuinely good sides', not 'no good sides'. There is a divide between the big 7 in the Prem and everyone else, but in La Liga it's only really Valencia who come close to Madrid/Barca. Bilbao, Sevilla, Atletico etc go on nice little runs in the Europa League and obviously have the potential to turn over the bigger boys occasionally, but the Prem as a whole is much stronger IMO. At an international level Xavi is more important to Spain than Messi is to Argentina as he has to create everything; Argentina have Higuain, Tevez & Aguero who are also vying for the 'key player' role, and Messi has not excelled at international level as he has in La Liga.
