to be honest i don't really care about anyone other than the albion...the main focus is getting into the championship, and for a team who has been top of the league for so long it would be a travesty if we did not go up as champions.....bit strange for a saints fan to say what he's said...if that was me i would not be conceding till its mathematically impossible. considering they have 2 games in hand have to play us as well and got 2 more points than us saturday...it could well be a very close run thing,

I have nothing against Saints fans - they support their team in the same way we support ours ie unconditionally. I do however have issue with the manager and players of said team who are a bunch of arrogant pricks who think they deserve to go up because they feel they are too good and too big for this division. Well if that was the case, they wouldn't be here would they?!?! Leeds had the same attitude when they were in L1 and it continually made me smile to see them fail to get promoted. Fair play to them now, they are doing well *coughbastardscough*

Hello Brighton Fans.

I am sure over the next month through internet forums and twitter etc, there will be a lot of 'trash talking' and bragging between both sets of fans.

Before that all kicks off I would like to congratulate you on your amazing season this year. Well deserved champions.

I'd like to point out also that all the Saints fans I know actually like Brighton (and Bournemouth for that matter) and would love for 3 south coast teams to get promoted this year.

I hope to get the chance to see Saints play at your new stadium, which is looking very impressive by the way, next season.

I think you'll find most brighton fans aren't that bothered about you lot. One of the joys of the internet is that a handful of people start threads about southampton on here everyday and it makes it look like we're all obsessed, when really it's just a few saddos who have nothing better to do. Check the pathetic Adkins threads recently and there's as many of us telling the OP to f*** off as there is people slating Adkins.

My only reason to hope southampton don't go up is because I find it funny when a big club gets stuck in the lower leagues. Ditto sheffield wednesday, leeds and man city when they were down here. Nothing personal, I won't mind if you do go up with us.

That said, I understand why anybody old enough to remember the '78 fit up would still hate you.

It's like some kind of perpetual geekboard binfest. Three people on your board make a comments about being too big for the league, someones spots it and puts it on here - 10 people call you arrogant, someone spots it and put it on your board - 10 people make assorted small club or gay jokes. Repeat a couple of times by the same handful of people and two weeks later it's considered a "rivalry"
