I don't tend to get involved in the "cyber-fighting" that kick's off on these boards now and again.

Some of the posts can be amusing or down-right boring in the "my dad's bigger than your dad" mould. "Oh no he isn't!"

I don't think it's acceptable to threaten to glass someone.

Mind you, I think I'm right (hope I'm right) in thinking that no physical violence has occured as a result of this or any other Brighton message board!

It's getting near the end of the football season though, and it IS customary at this time of year for all NSCers to get 'bent out of shape' and lambast and rant and argue and threaten. 'Tis spring, when a young blah blah kill all poets blah blah etc.

Personally, I'm planning to insult everyone' religion (unless it's The ALBION!!) before the end of season, and take over from duhwayne as attention-seeker extraordinaire.

Ritchie I don't hate you, want to glass you or think you're a twat - but you DO come over as a bit pathetic sometimes. That is not a criticism (even though it sounds a bit offensive) and I'd much much rather read your posts that stuff by certain other people. (No names, no pack drill but one of the lives in Berkshire).

Don't fret about it Richie. I'm pretty new on here and after one of my first posts I got into a bit of a ding-dong with Juan Albion and took offense at something which was, as he quite rightly pointed out, just his opinion and wasn't meant to offend. I can't believe that anyone really wants to glass you for anything you've said, and if they do, they're not worth even wasting your time thinking about.

You're obviously an intelligent bloke, and like ALL of us on this board, at times you've posted some good stuff and at other times you've posted a load of old crap. But try not to be so sensitive over the inevitable stick and banter on here. Its part & parcel.

You worked wonders with the fanzine, that is something you should be seriously proud of. So what if you sometimes come across a bit "Brittas" as you put it - its quite amusing in its own way. I love the diversity of people on here, the different characters is what makes NSC so entertaining. Just carry on doing what you do squire.

Nobody threatened to 'glass' him. NSP is a piss take FFS, we are all perfectly nice in real life (very debatable but i like to think so), we just like to take the rise and i understand if it gets a bit over the top every now and again but no harm is really meant at all.

Read what you're interested in, don't read what you aren't interested in. Don't worry if someone writes that you're a twat or whatever, as the majority of people on here don't know each other (I certainly don't personally know any of you (unless Winstone still reads NSC (you know who you are Jon), which maybe he doesn't), so why care about it - it can't be personal in the truest sense.

Richie, don't take some gentle pisstaking to heart. There's not a one of us who hasn't posted some crap on here and suffered the consequences. It's that old "every action has an equal and opposite reaction" thing. As Yorkie says, perhaps think about asking for quite so much advice on quite so many things - it's quantity, not the principle here. If you get a job as a journalist the ability to find things out for yourself is an absolutely fundamental element of the job and you are unlikely to work to deadlines that allow you to post your queries and wait for an informed reply via an internet message board! So a little practice on the researching things front NOW could pay dividends later.

Your heart is in the right place so far as the Albion is concerned and you mean well which I suspect is a the view shared by plenty of people on here. Which is precisely why a "gentle pisstake" on NSC is the right description of some of the reactions to your posts. Take it affectionately - if thoughtfully!

I've particpated in some RichieMorrisBanter myself, and you seemed to take it in the right spirit. Your undoubted enthusiasm and love for all thing BHA is superb, but can be mixed with what can sometimes be seen naivite and possibly interpreted as attention seeking. Showing that kind of vulnerability on here is asking for some serious banter.

To actually start a thread with the title "Has anyone got a website they can host an image for me on?" after Lush's "What will Richie Morris ask us to do next" thread I thought was comic genius that brightened up my day no end. And then to put that picture of you on made it NSC Gold status.

Richie - we all appreciate what you've done on various campaigns and projects I'm sure, but don't take the banter in the wrong way. Take a leaf out of Safeway's book - treat the banter like water off a duck's back. And no need to apologize for being annoying - I and a lot of other annoying people on here never do!

I hope that it isn't "fairwell".
