if an ex-southampton or portsmouth player scored a goal for someone else meridian would of said 'as ex-saint or ex-pompey player score' and i take it they don't do that with brighton players

That's exactly my point Barders. It's the mere fact that we're always treated as the poor relation in this region. Swindon might argue that but most of them have the Bristol based ITV anyway.

It's not that I am that bothered but it's just so damn typical of Meridian.

As the game was at Upton Park, it probably wasn't even a Meridian commntator. They'd have taken the coverage done for the London programme. In which case, the commentator would have no reason at all to mention that Zamora used to play for Brighton.

Not an attempt at a dig so don't get out your pram just an observation as a whole lot of people who've been on here for a while have moaned about Meridian, something that goes back many years.

one thing you lot must realise is that when there is an away game, Meridian rely on the host TV Station's report.

In the Yorkshire TV area there are lots and lots of teams that are doing well to fair at the moment, Sheff wed are not one of them, therefore the coverage they are recieving is rubbish. Hence we only get a small coverage for our game ( the same happened last year BTW) I am not 100% sure why the Meridian guy should have mentioned that Bobby played for us.....when Leon Scores does the local commentator mention that he played for Hudds, Sheffield. Chelski etc etc...no.

Huddersfield won again though!

i'm gonna join in with this rant, firstly I dont care if you have 1 post or 10000, makes no difference to me!
Secondly if everytime BZ scored the commentator mentioned Brighton then they'd rename it "Sunday Soccer With BZ & BHA", fact is they dont have to mention it everytime, fact is they dont mention it about pompey/southampton everytime they get an oppertunity.
yes they are biased towards those teams and we all know that, but the only thing that would wind me up is if they said "ex bristol rovers player" - THEN I'd get angry but not at this.
