I haven’t seen any reporting that says it’ll be as much as 58m. The most I’ve seen reported is 55m and that likely needs Liverpool to win the Champions League.

Then you have Bissouma’s legal situation hanging over him at the time, compared with Mac Allister who had just played a major part in winning the World Cup and finishing 6th with us in the prem.

55 might be right as that is the figure I remember from original reports. Just checked and 58 million is the total figure we could receive in add-ons for players in recent years https://www.northstandchat.com/threads/alexis-mac-allister.413243/

The add-ons for Ale Mac were said to be easily achievable though so doubt the CL Is relevant. Liverpool winning the title probably means we got top whack. We wouldn't have got 55 for a player with a year left on his contract

I’m frankly terrified at the thought of him not being here next season. There’s no one else in the squad who can turn a game like he does and nobody remotely in our price range like that who we could buy either. I think a lot of posters are underestimating how pivotal he is for us. It’s going to be a really rough ride without him to continuously bail us out next season.

Praying he stays and I'm cautiously optimistic that he will.

If he wants to go, we will not stand in his way. We will repay his loyalty by letting him go for a modest fee to a bigger club.

There's is a chance that Bloom and co would be happy to 'cash in', but it's unlikely. He's too important to this football club, and not just on the pitch.

I'm hoping (and somewhat expecting) that the club will surprise us all with a new contract for him to remain at the club for the foreseeable.

I think that this Summer will define whether Kaoru becomes a Brighton Legend or whether he is simply the most skillful player for Brighton ever.

One things for certain, he'll always be welcome here

Please stay Kaoru.
Ok so money talks l know that, every player has his price etc. etc. But we would be mugs to sell our best player, there is no ready made replacement for him at the club, and the soon to open, two storey, club megastore, would be empty without half the population of Tokyo giving the club millions of pounds in revanue.

You say that, but Mitoma was definitely in our price range when we signed him.
