I think we're starting to see the old Mitoma back with Lamptey behind him. He is at his best when he has a full back behind him that's also asking questions of the opposing.

For large parts of this season, Mitoma has been doubled up on and Pervis (and the rotating cast of back up LBs) haven't really helped him in the way Lamptey has of late. Sure, it's less defensively sound, but the opposition full back has to deal with Mitoma AND a potential overlap from Lamptey, which is creating more space again

Worth having a look at Mitoma's reaction to the Chelsea goal on Saturday – from the one minute mark here – essentially telling everyone to keep calm and possibly reassuring Bart at the same time.

The whole video is bound to be helped by a massive spike in Japan, but he certainly had a good game against Todd's boys!
:goal:

Edit: another touch of class at the end. He shakes the hands of two of the three officials and doesn't interrupt the third one who is already engaged with someone else. He then remembers to go back to that guy to shake his hand about a minute later.

The whole move was brilliant. It began with Bart playing the ball out to Ayari, and as a Liverpool player went to cover the expected square pass to JP, he hit it diagonally to Baleba instead - Arne Slot commented that "a ball from the goalkeeper to a midfielder who pretended to play the ball to the outside and then played his midfielder was a great moment from them." Baleba drove half the length of the field before passing out to Mitoma. As soon as he's threaded that pass through to Welbeck, KM was off into the middle so found himself in the right place to produce that unbelievable finish.
