Listening to the game on bbc west midlands, there commentaters were saying Mcghee had tactically outdone hoddle. So whos right then I wonder? However they did go on to sarcastically make a comment on how Mcghee made some strange tactical choices when in charge at Wolves.
Ahh but don't forget - with the power of HINDSIGHT its possible to be a tactical GENIUS.

With no quality midfielder on the bench and CKR being better suited to holding up the ball than Turi, what else could be done?

I.

What do you base that on....I saw Turi come on in one game and he seemed in that 20 minutes to hold the ball up somewhat better than CKR whose first touch seems to involve falling over and moaning.

Not critisising the lad as he is only young and learning, but he does seem a tad " klinnsmanish"...probably got that from Leon..

Not my opinion. Read anything McGhee has said over the past month or two.

I think this is what the argument is about....ie.do you think MM has it right or wrong.....

I personally think last night he had it wrong, but the fact that we are very difficult to beat proves that he is doing somethin right

Its just starting to get annoying that he does things to late and half the time they are wrong.

So half the time they are right then? Could be worse.

el abd coming on was a bit stupid - with frutos struggling, it should of been just robinson on, leaving knight on and remaining where he was. robinson could have gone wide right, leaving hart - who i thought had a very ggod game at right back - in that position

but no, el abd comes on, loses his man and gets doen with regards to the cross the goal came from

so what was the right thing to do last night?

Not put Hart in midfield unless you were going to bring on dodd - Would not have brought el abd on at all dodgy in ipswich game and again last night - taken off ckr and brought on el turi to hold the ball and with out losing your most creative player.

So stick with the formation which saw us over-run.

over-run yes, but i do not recall henderson having to make one save all night

hart was having a fine game at wingback, nothing dangerous coming down his side. so, cleverly, mcghee moves him into midfield, and puts el abd right back - that was a clever move:nono:
