Reid is doing very bad, but he was always over rated in millwall fans eyes.

That transfer was to do with our chairmen more then anyone else and mcghee wasnt left with much choice.

You all may think we are fickle, but you really needed to see what happened and what was going on with mcghee, as flopalob had done, hence why his comments are out of the norm.

Except our ' good ' team were so good that they managed to lose 0-4 at Brentford, under Bob Booker.

So losing 1-3 and 1-4 could be considered something of an improvement don't you think ?

Whatever he did at Millwall isn't really relevant here.

Our players have already tasted relegation, a manager walking out on them ( showing about as much loyalty as Lord Haw Haw in the process ), and with team morale at sixes and sevens.

Most of our players are already on long term contracts.

Whoever he brings in will be on a long term loan basis at best ( unless we start to put players up for transfer ).

He can't sack Bob Booker - that is the Chairmans decision ( and indeed I see no problem between the pair of them at all at present ).

What he said on our official website about Saturdays game is 100% spot on. I was there and saw exactly the same.

If he turns this side into something unrecognisable from Saturday, I shall be overjoyed, because Saturday was a disgrace.

Well you can't sat he made those choices then! maybe sacking Gritt was a choice made with the Chairman too?

As I said 1m for a flop would seem like great business sense for a club who are not in a great financial position.....?;)

Gritt was clearly defo his choice. Take it from someone who knows what is going on with our club. He was under the same instructions when he took over as regards to coaching team, he must work with the current management set up. Harford sadly passed away last season.

McGhee convinced Theo that by sacking Gritt and brining in Knox we would take the next step up. Theo was already disappointed with mcghee but felt he deserved one last chance hence why he was given such a free reign this season, (players etc), and we have now seen what that does.

Will be interesting to see who he signs for you.

All i have done is to come on here and back up what flopalob (what a shit name!) was saying, you all felt he was severly hard done by at millwall, didnt you?

I have always listened to other clubs fans, as they normally have their fingers on the pulse.
However it wouldn't be fair to judge McGhee before at least 10 games in charge.................Then perhaps we will see if the Millwall fans are right................... I sincerely hope their not.

Why has "flobalop" posted on a Millwall site more than a Brighton one? Anyway we got the sam crap from Leicester Sity fans when Taylor came here and he got us promoted! (then pissed off)

In my experience (as an old hand) people who come on here with outlandish statements are usually one of two things;

a) One of Dwaynes multiple personalities
b) A rival fan shit stirring (especially when their best mate is a Millwall fan and they appear at the same time)

I have no idea how Maghee was treated at Millwall.

It's like comparing how Micky Adams at Fulham ( with Al Fayed ) and Coppel at Brentford ( with Noades ) to the way they were treated with the Albion. Or for that matter, how they are doing currently at Leicester and Reading.

Neither really were hard done by, but both were sacked, and were ' unemployed ' when they came here. Both did a good job.

Dick Knight is a realist. He won't be expecting Maghee to make a squad capable of winning this division, simply because he has openly put Falmer at the top of his priority list. He does want the team to remain competitive though.

On Saturday they didn't compete. You can read what Maghee thought of our performance on our official site if you want.

You show me a manager who hasn't got a few bad games under his belt. They are only ever as good as the backing they get from the board, the chaiman, the fans and most importantly, the players.

Lose any one of those four and their job will become like pushing water uphill. At the moment it is patently obvious that the 11 players were beaten on Saturday, it wasn't a case of Maghee being beaten. It's down to Maghee to address the ( many ) deficiencies I saw, and I think he got the intelligence and ability to make a difference.

We cannot make any more judgement until we see what he comes up with. It may not work. It may be a slow but steady decline, or an improvement.

But the least we owe him is a chance to prove himself.

Ok, all i was doing was giving our perspective. McGhee undone himself. Obviously you cant judge as he has only been in charge for a couple of games, but this is a voice of experience.

He may do well for you, who knows, all i was saying was about his past, and how you have overlooked it.

And for everyone's information. Doug aka Floplop aka Super Seagull is not the same as me. Doug is a genuine brighton fan who happens to be living in london. He is good mates with a number of millwall fans.

For proof please see my website where he posts as SuperSeagull and i post as Nick.B (http://www.independentmillwall.com/phbb2)

I remember Flopalob posting on the old NSC site. I wouldn't bracket him with any of the other wind up merchant on here. Secondly, does it really matter that people don't have many posts on here? Just because they don't post pointless threads about favourite underwear colour or would they shag Anthea Turner doesn't mean we should agnore their comments.

nickmfc I appreciate what you say about McGhee at Millwall ( a friend of mine is a millwall fan and he says the same) however I don't think it's relevant to us. Whether we think he's the right man for the job or not he must be given a chance and not have some idiot calling for his head after 1 league defeat.
