given that many people have told me that Reid was poor

But Reid wasn't poor - he was part of a good effort by our 4 to combat and overcome the influence of their 5 in midfield. He is in good form following his fine performance against Leeds. I just think it's a shame that fans don't put a bit more effort into understanding what McGhee is trying to do with the team.

Don't be PATHETIC, plastic. We've just taken a point from a game, which is above average for the season.

Just because he doesn't agree with, you don't need to flounce :nono:

And what might that be exactly?

Get it relegated?

Chappers you were spared the endurance test of last night but you have to admit McGhee has worked bloomin miracles at this club. There isn't s single manager working in the 4 leagues in England who could have done any better.

I think we all appreciate the constraints the club is under and the limited options that are therefore imposed on any manager we have. What concerns me more is whether or not we are getting the best value out of the resources we do have. I was not at the game last night (120 mile round trip on a school night is not my idea of fun) but given that many people have told me that Reid was poor would it not have been better to have subbed him, moved Carole to wing and put CKR up front with some half decent service or am I missing something ?

I do not understand where this criticism of Reid has come from. I thought he had a good game last night and was actually one of the few players who got into their area and tried to attack.

With regard to taking Carole off, I think it was down to the type of game. Carole is a very good player when given the space but Burnley were not doing that. Consequently, he drifted a bit in the second half whereas the more direct style of Frutos (for example) was more effective. That seemed to me to be the logic of the change.

That's what I thought too. It was a move that made sense to me.

I'd have taken El Abd off, moved Reid to right back and brought Jake on the last 10 minutes though.

Agreed Reid had an ok game last night. McGhee cannot legislate for CKR being pretty shit when he came on and not being able to hold the ball up at all. Sometimes he's great sometimes he's awful and it's very easy to suggest a better alternative after the event. I notice there's a thread suggesting CKR starts on saturday. On yesterday's performance he can consider himself lucky if he even makes the squad, but given our resources he probably will.

We are stuck with what we have............the manager is the best man for the job in hand.....who else would want to manage a club in our position, players are not attracted to the club....no money.....Lewis district council on our backs.....yes i hate to say it .....falling gates....a dire fight against relegation..........................................................but we all new that at the start of the season and the fantastic reaction of the Albion Fans will pull us through.....remember a couple of wins and things could look a little brighter..........off to Coventry to cheer on the lads, everyone get behind the club and who knows we may get that good feel factor back, our fans are some of the best in the country, i know its expensive to follow a club, but try to get to Coventry and prove it!! C'mon the Albion!

As the man on the telly would say ... At this stage in the voting, there's a swing of 10.3 per cent TOWARDS McGhee since the last poll.

Even more so now, with 66.67% saying in.
