I am a massive fan of McGhee, and was just talking to a Millwall fan who said when McGhee was there he was playing many players out of position and it was costing them points. He asked if he was doing the same here and i replied i thought he was doing a fantastic job. Makes you wonder tho!

What would our best team be then? All players in their proper position...

Kuipers

Watson
Hinshelwood
Cullip
Mayo

Beck - do we have any other right midfielders?
Carpenter
Nicolas
Currie

Knight
Molango - not good enough for the team yet

I think with the calibre of managers we have had in recent years ( Exception of Hinshelwood), we have been somewhat spoilt.
Even Ferguson would have a tough time following the legends that have been frequenting the bench in recent years!

But I know what you are saying and yes....He does seem to make some bizzare decisions.
But then again i'm not a Football Manager (Well not in REAL life anyway!).

BOLLOX Andrew

i mean not too out of position - eg harding in midfield

Kuipers/Roberts (cant decide)
Hinshelwood - RB - i know he preffers centre - but is good at right back
Cullip
Virgo
Harding

Currie - right mid - he's 2 footed so can play ther
Jarret left/or jonah
Nicolas
Chippy/Hammond

Knight
Molango - give him a chance/Hart - always gives his all
Mcphee - can score goals
Robinson??? not with knight as too small but great prospect

I think we would probably do better with a 4-4-4 fourmation. (see what I did there?)

Why is this "players being played out of position" thing even being discussed"?

If McGhee hadn't decided to play Virgo out of position, we'd probably be even below Rotherham right now.

SAKE!

Virgo "out of position"

Played 12, won 5, drawn 3, lost 4

Virgo "in position"

Played 4, won ZERO, drawn 1, lost 3 - and we only got that draw goes Virgo elbowed all our forwards out of the way to take the free kick!

McGhee's a risk taker and he experiments with the squad. Without that, we would be doomed, but I can see how ridiculous the squad was on saturday. Currie didn't want to play up front, Piercy wasnt fully fit. McGhee says that "it was all we had". Whatever happened to Molango! Even if he isn't quite good enough, it's better than someone who's been out through injuiry all season!

Maybe drop him due to his sheer lack of pace.

I've no doubt Hinsh and Cullip could no a sterling job without him.

why? when ive seen him this year he has been better than cullip
