Unless this happens before 12:00 there won't be.

There's a week after the window closes where you can't make any loan signings. It one thing the FL had to put in to allow laon move's to continue after the deadline.

I guess we could still get it arranged and announced though? The player just wouldn't be eligible straight away.

That would be just our luck - bust a gut to sign a player who scores a lovely debut hat-trick on Saturday, only to find he's ineligible & get docked 9 points!

Can also sign any player who is out of contract I believe.

Ifa player comes along that he wants he has to persuade the club to tear up his contract first then he becomes a free agent and can sign.

My understanding of the rule was that the window shut last week and there is now a seven day cooling off period after which coke teams and then loan players for 3 months untill the old transfer deadline.

you can also sign people out of contract.

Derby have just signed Tottenham 21 year old reserve striker El Hamdaouie on loan. He was there earlier in the season scored 2goals in 6 games but was injured and went back to Tottenham now gone back to Derby.

Quite a big lad, and a real prospect. I assume that wages/loan fee might've been a problem, as he would've been ideal.

So if Derby has just signed a player on loan does that mean there is no 7 day cooling off period?

Was probably done late last night so as to qualify.

What it does indicate is that other clubs are signing players and we are being left behind.

Perhaps I am a pessimist but I don't think that we were/are in the market for a permanent signing and are more interested in a loan because of our finances.
