Swindon, but used to be Manila
On Thursday night I attended a meeting in Brighton and also present was Jeane Lepper The Mayor of Brighton, when she asked if anyone had any Questions I asked her about Falmer, this was her reply (not word exact) The Govt had promised an announcement no later than 28th Feb.. so the council expect a decision anyday now (lets wait and see)
She told us that the council were ALL in favour of Falmer, and that the whole thing was outside Lewes durisdiction (spelling)
There was no opposition that she knew about from the University(in fact she told me the students have no right to complain as they do not come from Brighton and so pay no Taxes here)..
it was stated that the council are also fed up waiting for a decision..
This bit was interesting.. Has anyone else heard about Waterhall being used as part of the park and ride scheme (1000 cars)??
Also Falmer Railway station WILL be extended..

HoPE THIS HELPS... PS she seem like a nice lady..

That is excellent news, Swindon. Well done for asking the question and reporting back the answer.

We were told it wasnt possible to build a stadium at Waterhall as it was 'north of the A27'. Unless youre Brighton & Hove Council , then you can concrete it over for a park and ride scheme ?:nono:

I heard the rumour about Waterhall being used for Park and Ride (every day for Brighton shoppers/workers) a couple of weeks ago from a relative who works for the Council. Kept it to myself because this relative usually talks a load of bol*****.
