Mayo set for Watford
Watford are set to complete the signing of Lincoln left-back Paul Mayo for around £100,000, if the 22-year-old agrees personal terms at Vicarage Road.
Boss Ray Lewington said a left-back had been a priority for some time following the departure of Paul Robinson.
"I've seen him twice in the last three weeks and he's a strong lad with a good left foot and gets stuck in and gets forward," Lewington told BBC 3CR.
"He also takes free-kicks and penalties and has got a long throw."
He added: "We've been looking for (a left-back) for a long time, but we've come up with this boy.
Imps manager Keith Alexander told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I don't want the player to go, but the move would be a good springboard for his career."
The deal is being financed by Jimmy and Vince Russo, the recent arrivals on the Watford board.
