We were talking about Munich 1860 at work today. Apparently they have dropped down to an amateur league. It wasn't that long ago that hey were in the top division.

Didn't their owner refuse to pay some sort of bond to confirm their league 3 status? Hence they've dropped to an amateur regional league. Does that mean they're now playing in the equivalent of the Southern Combination League?!

Very sad what has happened to 1860 - not allowed to play in the third tier of German football - most blame the owner, but I'm amazed that mismanagement with foreign ownership is able to happen over there.
