Sad news indeed. His abilities shone in the west wing for which he was nominated for an Emmy I believe, and Studio 60 on which he flourished with Sorkin's scripts.
I’m absolutely shattered by this news. It’s not something I ever talk openly about, and maybe I should, but I have suffered terribly with addiction myself and when I read his book last year it was like looking into my own soul at times. I felt like I knew the person, for I could relate to struggles he had experienced.
For someone I never met, I feel a huge degree of pain and grief right now. It’s been a long time since the death of a celebrity affected my as viscerally as this.
