The fact that he has no chance of getting near to the ipswich first team speaks for itself. He is a good lad but not up to the task defensively unfortunately!

The couple of times I have been to Withdean this season he has got un justified abuse all game.

Agreed. When we played Walsall, the abuse he received was unforgivable. It should have been directed entirely at our one dimensional coaching setup.

If you get the chance to see the goals we've conceded this season count how many have come down his side.

No where near as many as have come from wide right, their left winger, past Whing and Elphick.

Or count the number that have come directly through the centre of our defence! I think you will find every aspect of our defence is as strong or weak as one another.

What we need is a defence that doesn't think the game is over after 85 minutes!!

Hence the need for a defensive coach or old experienced defender to teach them how to defend properly and for 95mins+

Our defence is shocking. matt ichards is constantly out of position, and frankly he cannot tackle or pass the ball. When he joined he was dreadful. Wilkins blamed that on reserve team football. He then improved from abysmal, to just very bad. Now he is back to abysmal. Matt Richards makes the likes of John Crumplin genuine "Football genius's".

In January he has to be the first to go. If they sign Richards then they must be blind. cant think of a full back that has been so bad for years.

Whing also spends his life 5/10 yards on from our full backs and is always being turned, forcing the center backs to have to cover for him.

In january, we need two full backs. Preferably full backs that defend first, and not try to be what they are not - good footballers. We cant afford "wing backs" but we need to find a couple of defenders. Richards is the worst but Whing is poor also. They are so bad and are costing us games.

By the what, in my view (and I said it at the stat of the season) Lynch should have been played in a holding role in front of the back four and iinstead his is at Forest.

So you are complaining that he is too far up the pitch, supporting the forward play and putting in a high number of crosses, something the likes of Watson etc used to do, the main difference to the tactic used and encouraged by Mickey Adams is that he sends the side out with 2 central defenders and not 3 as we used to.

That is because we have 2 decent strikers now rather than the one last time round with Zamora, it is hard to drop one of the forwards - also the crowd at home games especially demands that the team push forwards to try to turn draws into wins rather than settle for a point later in games, meaning that they are forced to go high up the pitch and leave us more open to counter attacks, which like in the MK Dons game, is costing us.

No mate my issue is that he stand Whing stand 10 yeard on from the center backs, leaving a gap at full back. Richards is not a talented Whing back, he cant take players on and he is better off giving the ball to Cox to take on the opposing full back.

The other problem with Richars is that he is weak, and gets the p!ss taken out of him week in week out.

When he joined, Richards was garbage, he recovered to be bad, and is back to garbage again. He has go to go
