What looked out of place was the number 14 on the front of the shirt. The shirt could have been worn in a friendly with no restrictions on substitutions I guess. I've been to friendlies and testimonials at the Goldstone and know that several subs were allowed (usually on for the 2nd half) but cannot remember for instance if the squad numbers were from 1 up to 20 or so.
The seller certainly seems bona fide, others on here on another thread have said they believe it to be right, in fact did JCFG say he used to own that shirt? As for the badge positions, there are plenty of photos on the listing showing players in shirts with the badges in the same position. As for the numbers, as you can see above, number 14 was used. Cant really see someone going to that much effort for a fake, when it is clearly the sellers business. I have not seen one of these shirts for many many years, so not really in a position to confirm, but I beleive it is genuine from the information I can glean from the listing and from books and stuff I have,
