Will be very interesting. Its hard to know exactly where the English team stands atm but this game will probably reveal a lot (more than for instance the game vs Scotland would show).

That said... Go Croatia!

Sometimes I warm to you and wonder why you get bullied at times, especially from a moderator of a forum who should know better, and then you say stuff like this.

Is the ref using a dog whistle? Can't hear him blow up at all.

Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice are light years ahead of Henderson and Dier.
We’re already seeing Trippier having to turn back inside as he’s not on his natural side.

It's like watching Brighton - all the possession, lots of passes, no goals so far.

Indeed. I know it's covid and all that but couldn't they just move the sun a little.

Jokes aside both touchlines do look about 5 yards further in.

They could maybe have thought about the sun and angles before building it.

Maybe that's beyond your comprehension?

It's like watching half a game at the moment. Bbc can surely use some camera trickery to lighten it up a tad. Almost pitch black on my screen.

I have sent an e mail asking The FA to put half of the floodlights on.
The bright half is so bright it's like watching the 1970 Mexico World Cup all over again.

But it’s not like this Wembley is 50+ years old. It’s a relatively new build.

You would have thought they could have engineered some kind of mitigating solution in this modern age, even if it’s some kind of roof material that lets a proportion of light through so the shadow isn’t quite so absolute. Or lights that can be directed at the dark pitch areas to compensate. Something. This is pretty ****ing shit to watch, to be honest.

Well, so far England look comfortably the technically superior side and the team with the attacking intent, but I don’t think any of that will come as a surprise to Croatia. They’re well organised and well drilled.

Beware the sucker punch.

Mason Mount is such a quality player, lovely to watch. Could be a star of this tournament.

Kane on the other hand is a bit of a problem for us. Constantly one or two seconds behind the other attackers. Sterling in fairness has done well so far.

Croatia are starting to work us out now.

Plenty of opportunities for them on the flanks with our full backs not playing so well.
