Think we should be resigned to the fact that Buckley will never be fully fit and should go. Can't remember the last time he actually went past a defender and he seems content to win corners and throw ins. Unfortunately, we don't convert those to goals!!! As for KLL, I think he will always be one of those players with potential but alas he seems do all his talking on twitter rather than the football pitch.

well with so many players out of contract and it looks like a new manager
we are certainly going to have a massive squad overhaul!
we have an aging defence that did perform well
this season and last.
We have not scored enough goals similar story last year
still think ulloa would score 20+ with better crossing
that's for me no 1 priority wide players
yes they have had a lot of injuries
no we do not get the ball quick enough to them
I have enjoyed moments from
Lopez Orlandi Buckley and Lua Lua
but all in all I think we could do better

Kuszczak obviously leaving, been off form anyway, back up keepers horrendous.

Two ageing Spanish right backs, neither of which can defend very well.

Again, two old centre backs, how much longer can they go on? Dunk seems a bit of a liability.

Ward won't be back now Wolves are back up and can offer better wages.

Ince could possibly be sold, head and shoulders about anything else we have.

Andrews presumably won't be back.

Agustien presumably not wanted despite having obvious talent.

Lopez and Rodriguez are very poor at best.

Will 'Kitson' Buckley can't stay fit for more than two weeks and has lost all form.

Lingard clearly won't return to this.

Mackail-Smith will never score enough at this level but can't fault his effort.

Ulloa spends more time throwing tantrums than looking for the ball.

Oscar is negativity personified.

Jones is a puppet.

Burke is a buffoon.

Doesn't leave a great deal does it?

Bloom and Barber centre backs then

I think one of the reasons why Poyet left and why Garcia may have offered his resignation is that the squad does require an overhaul, and they wanted/want more money to throw at it.

However, we still have a core of players who should keep us in contention next year.

I think the following will leave (Out of contract): Kuszczak (Unfortunately), Ankergren (35, no good), Brezovan (34, no good), Bruno (33, too expensive), Lopez (Poor), Orlandi (Does not look interested), Rodriguez (Poor).
I think the following may be sold: Ulloa, Buckley (£10 million in the bank)
Loans expired (and not returning): Ward, Andrews, Lingard

However this would still leave a potential line up of:

GK: New
RB: New
CB: Dunk (Must now be given a starting role)
CB: Upson (New 1 year contract)
LB: Chicksen (Looked good in his limited appearances this season)
CM: Ince
CM: Stephens
CM: Crofts
RW: March
LW: LuaLua (Must have his 1 year option activated, surely)
FW: Mackail-Smith

Back up, Walton, Greer, Calderon (1 year), Maksimenko, Forster-Caskey, Agustien, Hoskins (1 year).

Plus: Any Development Squad players capable of stepping up, and some of the money from sales to be reinvested).

I'm looking forward (hoping!) to seeing either Oscar, or a new manager, shake things up a bit with some new blood, mixed with the existing players, to make us a bit younger, hungrier and dynamic.

bit of a prick aren't you???

Well thought out response.

But in fairness, accurate

The OP showed a real lack of knowledge (for example "Ward WILL go back to Wolves".... they have already said not) and is just another over-reaction to a disappointing end to the season). Focussing on negatives only is a pretty impoverished way of viewing the world....."so-and-so WILL be off" - Why? THEY don't necessarily (or likely) share your view that getting to the play-offs for two successive seasons is shambolic......... our full backs are not the best defensively (but excellant offensively and still part of one of the most effective defences in the league)...on the same tack our centre backs are too old (but very effective - shame they both suffered injuries for one game)...Buckley no good (which is why Poyet still reportedly wants to pay £3m or more for him). Ulloa (16 goals was it?) Is a waste of space (Leicester interested at £6.5m?).

Some fans really do need to not only get a grip but to learn to live in the real world.
Be disappointed by all means. But be proud too.
We came 6th in the second tier of one of the world's most competitive leagues.
Damned if you'd know it from reading on here though. ???
