I prefer marmite but it isn't that common here in Australia, so I have to go with the locals favourite vegemite.
Don't worry about the Best Before date. The Bovril in my cupboard has a date of Sept 2004 on it. Still tastes the same, and no ill side effects yet. I suppose with it being 90% salt it's gonna be hard to go off.oh, you bastards. i haven't had marmite on toast for years but now i'm absolutely gagging for it. this means i'll have to go to the import food store and pay way over the odds for a jar which passed its sell-by date sometime last year. cheers then.

Surely the most one-sided poll since "Are Palace fans scum or what?".
Bovril has its place (as a drink, nothing else), but there's no excuse for Vegemite. It has to be Marmite, every time.
