The strike force is about the only area of the team that has been functioning of late. Knight with 12 and McPhee with 7 is a fair return. The midfield is crying out for attention. Therefore, bringing in another striker seems an odd move?....Should Mcphee lose his place to Yeates on Saturday, he'd have every right to feel aggreived.

Good point. I was suprised that we went for another striker. When to be honest we are more needy for a midfield player.

Let just hope all goes well for him. He's only here for a month so lets hope he impresses. It'll be good for competition for places upfront. I have a hunch another loan midfielder may be on his way in soon.

Comments: The Republic of Ireland youth international is tipped by FansFC Spurs to be a top player.

If only he would get a chance.

He plays in the hole and is very difficult for defenders to pick up.

His running off the ball is excellent, he's quick and links up play very well.

QPR wanted Yeates at the begining of the season but he did not want to go there, also Robbie Keane reckons Yeates is the best young player at Spurs.
We could be on to something here.
Aren't we all a fickle bunch!!:bhasign:

Good to know that we have at least brought someone in. Be even better if he actually looks a decent player on Saturday and for the remainder of his loan.

I remember us singing some unknown teenage striker from Bristol Rovers on loan some years ago, he has now disappeared without trace. Bournemouth did the same with a bloke called Defoe and Preston with a chirpy cockney called Beckham. None of them are playing in the Premiershite today, so they must be bad

This is the opinion of a Spurs fan (taken from the official msg board)

I am a spurs fan and a yeates fan so i thought i would give u some info about your new signing.

He is small and skinny (forget the chubby paddy face)

He best position is in behind the front two but not sure if that will suit your formation. He has been playing upfront for our reserves but would not be surprised to see him starting wide for you as leon knight is a small bloke as well.

He has great skill and dribbles the ball brillantly, can create and score goals.

Hope he does the business for you lads

All the best

A colleague of mine who's a Spurs fan rates him. As well as being skillful, he likes to put himself about apparently.

Maybe that's what we need at the moment. Someone with a bit of spunk!!

From his pictures, he looks like he should be in Grange Hill.
