There are few celebrities that generate such good feelings as Mark Owen. He is possibly the most likeable ex-boy bander ever and, following his success in Celebrity Big Brother, he's back in the public eye for another whirl on the pop bandwagon.

Only it's not the Big Brother thing that got Mark his return to the big time, but the quality of his songs, as Universal had already signed before he went into the celebrity hamster cage. Mark Owen and quality songs in the same sentence may seem a laughable proporsition, but if Four Minute Warning is anything to go by, maybe he's got a future in pop after all.

He may be no singer, but this is as infectious as Owen is nice, counting down his takes on the nature of celebrity life. There's a harmonica, a foot tapping beat and no lyrics so bad that they make you wince (which is something of an achievement in pop these days), it does exactly what you want from a throwaway tune and you simply can't ask for more than that.
