I believe his contract runs until the end of this season.

So there you have it, Booker or Hinshelwood if we don't get a result by May

Would presume the same goes for Leon & Danny too? OK we know they were in talks but this latest development could've changed everything.

Personally I think McGhee will stick around until his contract ends anyway, he wants to do one simple (hehe) thing this season and help us avoid relegation, accomplish that and he has a decent grade on his CV *if* he did decide to go in the summer.

Of course it all hangs on the Falmer decision and I'm sure he wont mind waiting until Jan/Feb/March for that....I hope!

It may be that McGhee doesn't want a contract extension. He's trying to regain his credibility by NOT walking out on a club. He's doing bl00dy well so far, and has every prosect f going to a bigger club if we avoid relegation. IF we get Falmer, he MAY stay!

It says, quite clearly, on the back of the Argus today that as it stands we cannot offer McGhee, Knight or Cullip new contracts when they run out at the end of the season. In my mind this means that this will also be the case come May as although the decision will (fecking hopefully) have been made we will still be a long way from Falmer. We will, however, be in a position where more money can be put into the playing side.

It is now becoming all the more clear to all parties involved in the Inquiry just how important Falmer is to the club and the town as a whole.

Are you typing with your nose?!

Even if we do stay up this year, if we lose McGhee we could end up like Wimbledon, collapsing the year after and going down with 18 or so points. We must do everything possible to keep him at the club, as with Cullip and Knight.
