Cameron did not realise that so many of his party were not prepared to accept his decision on keeping this woman in her job,he makes an even bigger error when stating that he hoped she would be back some time,this double whammy is going to cost him a hell of a lot of votes.

No idea whether it has happened here, but the most shocking thing under the old system was the practice of telling the taxman your first was one and Parliament the other.

Specifically here how on earth even under the old rules was she allowed to increase the mortgage to almost double the purchase price and still claim interest.

That's not expenses it's an interest free loan / parliamentary signing on fee whichever you look at it.

Attempting to link that with fiddling the odd expense is folly.

She should have chucked out with the last lot and with some in her party trying to link the story with freedom of the press, they've been acting like the Mafia.

Cameron wouldn't sack Miller for fraudulently claiming expenses, but the Conservative party vice chairman has been sacked for tweeting that it was about time she resigned. Good to see their priorities are in order.

I think it is more about the character of the people we elect who then make decisions that affect out lives. If their integrity is in question then surely that may raise doubts about the reasoning behind some of the decisions they make.
